About Madeira Immersive Experiences
The Madeira Nature Center Project presented to the PROCiência 2020, had as main objectives: the creation of a prototype, with the application of virtual reality equipment and technologies; the creation of an informative digital space, based on new technologies; and the availability and dissemination of the information collected. These landmarks are based on nature, and the elements of land, air and sea, associated with Madeira island and entertainment tourism in particular.
The Madeira Nature Center Project, promoted by Oceano Panorâmico – Trading, Serviços e Investimentos, Lda, ended on february 28, 2022. The project is located at Estrada Cónego Camacho, nº 15A, Curral da Freiras, Câmara de Lobos .
The Madeira Nature Center facilities were open to users, who throughout the project were giving their opinions and at the end of it, they tried all the experiences and answered a satisfaction questionnaire. In total, more than 400 users took part in the experiments, most of them tourists.
The Madeira Nature Center Project was a research, technological development and innovation project, with possible future developments, both in terms of fundamental and applied research, in terms of innovation and in terms of public management.
