Picaroto Viewpoint

Viewpoint located in the Pico das Pedras Forest Park, just above the Picnic Park.

The access is done by going through part of the road that connects to Achada do Teixeira, and continuing on a clearly identified pedestrian path, which ends at the viewpoint where you may enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the major part of the Municipality of Santana, and even, up to Ponta de São Lourenço, with emphasis on the rock formation of Penha d’Águia, in Porto da Cruz. Turning your back on all this fascinating landscape, you may even contemplate the Central Mountain Massif.
