Bolo do Caco (Local Flat Bread)
They say it was first baked in Porto Santo and comes from a time when the king was the only one allowed to own ovens, so you had to pay to bake.
This "cake of the slate" is a cheat because you can bake it at home on a slate directly on the fire, or nowadays even in a frying pan.
Warm with some melted garlic butter it is utterly irresistible!
