Villain’s Boots
The body was traditionally made from goatskin and the soles from cowskin, as it is thicker and more resistant, ideal for its intended purpose. The upper part of the boot was turned outwards and reached down to the ankle, being decorated with a red morocco ribbon on the female model.
Currently, they use white rubber to replace leather soles.
There are two types of boots, the “bota chã” with a more elegant and refined look and the “work” boots with a rustic look and a thicker and more durable sole (which at some point, in more recent times, was made from used tires).
